What Information We Collect And How

At Sorella we take your privacy seriously and only use the information collected to provide the best possible service. We will never sell or share any of the information collected. At any time you can request a copy of the information we have held about you. You may also request that we remove all your identifiable information. If you have opted in to receive marketing from us we will hold your information until you request that we delete it, otherwise your information will be deleted if you have not undertaken business with us for up to 5 years.

The Information:
The minimum information we require from you to conduct our business is your full name and telephone number(s). This is so that we can record your appointments and contact you regarding them. The other information we may collect include, but are not limited to; your email address, home address, date of birth, gender, preferred staff members, your service and product history, hair and colour notes, patch test results and consultation notes. All information collected will be sourced from you directly either in the salon, over the phone, by email, social media messages, through our website or via our app. We consider you have provided consent for us to store this information based on your receiving services from us. Depending on the service we may occasionally require details related to your medical history. We will obtain your consent before storing any information relating to your medical history. For clients under the age of 16 we will only keep and use their information with the consent of a parent or guardian.

With regards to your appointments: These may be by SMS and/or email and include appointment confirmations, appointment reminders and following a service we may request feedback or a review. By booking an appointment with us and based on your receiving services from us we assume we have consent to do this however you may opt-out at any time.
For marketing: We may contact you by SMS, email or post to provide relevant marketing material. This may be about our services or products, your birthday, our loyalty program, if you haven’t visited us in a while and we miss you or on special days like Valentines or Christmas. We will not contact you without you first providing consent for us to do so and you may of course opt out or unsubscribe from the emails at any time.

Our Data Processors and data locations:
We use a number of leading software solutions within our business to provide our services. Our main salon software is provided by Phorest (nDevor Systems Ltd T/A). At the time of writing Phorest stores the data in multiple data centres and employs the services of Amazon Web Services. Multi-factor authentication is employed to secure data and access is restricted. We also use Mailchimp for our email marketing.
