STEP ONE:
Download the Colourstart app, set up your Passport, and answer your initial screening questions. Add Sorella (Woking) as your hair professional to share your results with us.
STEP TWO:
Purchase your Colourstart test from the salon or online.
The test takes 96 hours (4 full days) from start to finish, so please ensure you allow enough time before your colour appointment for delivery and to complete the test.
STEP THREE:
Open your patch test and read the instructions thoroughly. Following the process on your online Passport, apply the patch test to your arm, take a photo and upload it when prompted.
STEP FOUR:
After 48 hours remove the patch test from your arm. You should receive emails or SMS messages from Colourstart to remind you.
STEP FIVE:
Keep an eye on the test area for any reaction for the next 48 hours. After 48 hours, take another photo of the area and upload it to your Passport. Don’t forget to do this step!
If you don’t experience a reaction to the Test you’ll get a green ‘OK to colour hair’ Passport and you’re ready for your colour appointment at Sorella!

OUR TIPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL TEST:
👉 When setting up your Passport, Colourstart will ask how you want to be contacted (email or SMS). This is how you’ll get your reminders to remove the patch from your arm and take a photo of the test area 48 hours later, so choose the one you’re most likely to see!
👉 When applying the test remove Tab 1 first, apply the test to your arm, THEN remove Tab 2.
👉 Don’t forget to take and upload photos of the test when prompted (forgetting to do this will invalidate your test and you may need to purchase another one).
👉 Remember to add Sorella (Woking) as your hair professional so we have access to your Colourstart Passport results. For your Passport to sync with our software please use the same email address that we hold for you.
